Keep up with the Phoenix during the SoCon basketball tourneys

Show your Elon pride as the Phoenix basketball teams compete in the 2013 Southern Conference Basketball Championships March 8-11 in Asheville, N.C.


Whether you plan to support the Elon men's and women's basketball teams during the SoCon tournaments by watching the games at home or coming to Asheville, N.C., we have you covered.

Saturday, March 9

  • Kick off your tournament with The Phoenix Club and Elon Alumni Association at Scully's Bar & Grille (13 Walnut Street, Asheville) at 4 p.m.
  • At 6 p.m., the North Division Champion men’s team play their first game at U.S. Cellular Center (87 Haywood Street, Asheville), facing off against No. 10 UNC-G.
  • At 6:45 p.m., the women’s team enter their first contest at UNC-Asheville’s Kimmel Arena, playing No. 6 Samford.

Sunday, March 10


  • Start a great day of Elon basketball with the Phoenix Club and Elon Alumni Association at Scully's Bar & Grille at 12:30 p.m. for a pre-game social before the women's game.
  • At 2:30 p.m., the women's team take on No. 2 Davidson at the U.S. Cellular Center (87 Haywood St, Asheville) to advance to Monday for the SoCon championship!
  • Head back over to Scully's from 6:30 - 8 p.m. for another pre-game celebration before the men's team take on No. 3 College of Charleston at 8:30 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Center.

Details for other pre-game socials will be released as tournament outcomes are determined.

To purchase tickets, contact the Elon Ticket Office at (336) 278-6750. Tickets are $18 per single session for general admission, plus a $3 processing fee per order. There is no limit to the number of tickets you may order.

ESPN3 will cover the men’s opening round on Friday, as well as Saturday’s quarterfinals and Sunday’s semifinals. Monday’s championship game will tip off at 7 p.m. and be aired on ESPN2.

Coverage of the women’s semifinals on Sunday and the championship game on Monday at 3 p.m. will air on ESPN3.
