Walter Bixby named to American College of Sports Medicine Committee

Bixby has recently been named to a committee for one of the leading organizations in Exercise Science. 

Walter Bixby, Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine was recently named to the American College of Sports Medicine Research Awards Committee. This committee is responsible for reviewing all applications for the ACSM New Investigator, Visiting Scholar, and Tipton National Student Research Awards; selects recipients of these awards on a yearly basis. This is a three year appointment.

The American College of Sports Medicine is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world. With more than 45,000 members and certified professionals worldwide, ACSM is dedicated to advancing and integrating scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine.
