Brief Biography

Emma Butterworth serves as the Staff Director of Elon Law’s Flex Program in Charlotte, where she oversees daily operations, student engagement, and community partnerships for the law school’s first part-time program designed for working professionals - and Charlotte's only law program. She is committed to advancing student success, cultivating mentorship, and strengthening Elon Law’s presence in the Charlotte region.

Before joining Elon, Emma held leadership roles in graduate business education at Wake Forest University and supported faculty and community engagement initiatives at NC State University. She also brings extensive experience in customer service and crisis management from her years with American Airlines.

Active in the Charlotte community, she is a member of the Mecklenburg Bar Association, the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, and has served as a panelist for the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation.
