Description: Allied Churches of Alamance County (ACAC) provides emergency services in a safe and healthy environment, while moving individuals toward self-sufficiency. ACAC operates an emergency shelter, resource day center, community kitchen, and food pantry. ACAC seeks to provide basic needs as well as resources and case management support in order to meet social, educational, health, and other needs of the hungry and homeless in the surrounding community. In addition, we work with several community partners to provide services to shelter guests during their stay, and continued support once they have exited the shelter. We are sustained by the generosity of individual and organizational donations from community members, contributions of food, and commitment from volunteers.
