Description: Established in 1967, the Burlington Housing Authority (BHA) provides safe, affordable housing for families, seniors and disabled individuals in Burlington, North Carolina. Utilizing federally-funded housing programs, in conjunction with non-profit social programs. Burlington Homes for the elderly and disabled is one of the sites that offers support services and life skills training to assist residents to live most independently as possible. BHA manages the programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including Public Housing and Project Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) to assist low and moderate-income families and individuals.  The goal of BHA is for residents to become academically successful, independently empowered and economically self-sufficient.
