Located in the Family Justice Center in Burlington- Family Abuse Services of Alamance County, Inc. is committed to eliminating intimate partner violence in our community. The agency will provide services and support to survivors and their children. We are committed to the prevention and intervention of intimate partner and family violence through innovative service provision; community education programming; public awareness; and interdisciplinary collaboration between community partners who touch the lives of survivors and their children.
Academic Service experiences are specific to the crisis intervention model of social work. Interns and student volunteers are required to complete a 20 hour training, application, and criminal background check prior to service. The service positions include: crisis line, walk in crisis services, childcare or shelter support. Students without training can assist the LINCS coordinator with special projects on and off campus.
