Reaching out to a variety of student populations, President Book will host an upcoming informal chat in the Gender and LGBTQIA Center to connect with LGBTQIA students.
On Tuesday, April 10th at 7 p.m., Elon’s new president, Dr. Connie Book, will host a chat in the Gender & LGBTQIA Center (Moseley 211) to engage with students in an open dialogue regarding LGBTQIA issues, topics, and changes that they’d like to see made on campus.
President Book’s visit comes as the culmination of the Gender & LGBTQIA Center’s “Little Chats, Big Mood” series where students join together monthly to engage with each other and members of the administration in a casual atmosphere. This event is also part of Elon’s Spring Pride Week, hosted annually in April as a prelude to Admissions’ Phoenix Fusion Weekend.
You can also see President Book on Friday, May 4th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Upstairs Lakeside. She will be providing the opening welcome address for the 2018 Lavender Graduation & Awards Dinner, where graduating LGBTQIA & Ally students are honored for their achievements, service, leadership, and contributions to the Elon University community.
