Elon MBA alumni awarded CMA scholarship

Reed LaPlante '03 G'18 and Keith Hill G'18 received scholarships to pursue Certified Management Accountant certification.

Elon MBA graduates Reed LaPlante ’03 G’18 and Keith Hill G’18 were recently awarded the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Scholarship from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

The scholarship is valued at approximately $2,500, which covers IMA membership dues for three years and registration fees for the CMA exam and review materials.

The CMA is the gold standard of certification in management accounting. Achieving the CMA designation demonstrates professional expertise in financial planning, analysis, control, decision support, and professional ethics.

Founded in 1919, IMA is the worldwide association of accountants and financial professionals in business. With more than 85,000 members, it is one of the largest associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession.
