Immigration affects virtually every person in the United States, directly or indirectly, often in deeply personal ways. The steady influx of newcomers has helped build America, creating a mix of cultures, religions and ethnicities not found anywhere else in the world.
What does the future of immigration look like in this country? Do policy changes need to take place? A deliberative dialogue is an opportunity for students, faculty, staff and community members to gather together to exchange diverse views and experiences to seek a shared understanding of a challenge facing our society and to search for a common ground for action.
This model has been established by the National Issues Forum, a nonpartisan, nationwide network of locally sponsored public forums for the consideration of public policy issues. Advance registration is required at this link.
