Elon World Percussion Ensemble seeks new members

Drumming is FUN - Expand Your Global Horizons  

Everyone has an inner rhythm – you have a heartbeat, you walk in time and given the opportunity and desire, you can play a drum!

You are invited to sign up for the Elon World Percussion Ensemble (MUS106G).  There is no audition and we accept beginners as well as stick and hand drummers.  Anyone in the student body or the faculty are invited to join. Drums are provided.  Singers are needed so If you can sing, this is also a plus.

The ensemble is great training for anyone who will be working with kids, students or community when they graduate. This course is rooted in diversity, inclusiveness and group activity. Learn techniques to play rhythms are derived from the African diaspora – West Africa, Cuba, Brazil and more. 

We are looking at a fun-filled semester so come join us. It’s a great way to get your ya-yas out at the end of every week.  Come try out the first class with no obligation on Aug. 30.   Thursdays 5:30 to 7:10 p.m in Arts West, Studio C. 1 expression credit. Sign up for MUS106G.
