Our Bachelor of Science degree program in chemistry is certified by the American Chemical Society, ensuring that students meet rigorous standards and are well-prepared for future endeavors in chemistry-related fields.
Graduates pursue positions in industry, advanced studies in chemistry and biochemistry, professional training in medicine, dentistry and health-related fields, teach at the secondary level, or take paths to related fields like environmental science, forensics and business.
From day one, you’ll gain direct experience with new instruments using state-of-the-art technology, including:
- 500 MHz nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer
- Liquid chromatograph – mass spectrometer
- Inductively coupled plasma – optical emission spectrometer
We strongly encourage and support students assisting in laboratory instruction.
Our students work closely with faculty in undergraduate research to explore an array of topics, and their work is showcased at local, regional and national scientific conferences.
