Macro Your Impact with the Economics Major
Develop your ability to think critically and solve real-world, ill-structured problems. Learn the data analysis and writing skills that are highly valued whether your interest is in economic consulting, public policy or graduate school. Both of our majors – economics and economic consulting – are built on a rigorous foundation of the micro- and macro-economic theory needed to understand consumer and firm behavior and the data analysis skills needed to make business and policy–oriented decisions.
Courses
- International Trade and Finance
- Urban Economics and Planning

Internships are critical for all economics students not planning to go immediately to graduate school. Our students have completed internships in areas and for employers such as economic consulting for Ernst & Young and Bates White, investment research for Commonwealth Financial Network, financial advisory for Morgan Stanley, and finance management for Bank of America.
