Admission Process

  • NOMINATE A STUDENT TODAY
  • Do you know of an Alamance-Burlington School System (ABSS) ninth grader who has the potential for success and/or would be a great fit for the Elon Academy? Nominate them today by submitting Nomination Form or filling out the Nomination-Form and emailing it to elonacademy@elon.edu.
  • ATTEND AN INFORMATION SESSION IN THE FALL 
    • October 17th, 5-6pm: Cummings High School Auditorium
    • October 21st, 5:30-6:30pm: Southeast Alamance High School
    • October 23rd, 6pm-7pm: Dream Center, Burlington, NC
    • October 24th: Graham High School
    • October 28th, 10-11am: ABSS Early College at Alamance Community College
    • November 13th, 7pm-8pm: Southern Alamance High School
    • November 14th, 6pm-7pm: Williams High School Auditorium
    • Wednesday, December 5th, 6pm-7pm: Held VIRTUALLY via Zoom for any ABSS student and their family.
    • Tuesday, January 21st at 6pm: Held VIRTUALLY via Zoom for any ABSS student and their family.
    • COMPLETE THE APPLICATION PROCESS BY JANUARY 31, 2025
    • To officially apply for the 2025 Elon Academy, you must complete a three-part application process. Be sure to follow the directions outlined below, review the student eligibility requirements listed below, and carefully review the Elon Academy website for further program information.

    Applications to join the Elon Academy in 2025 are closed at this time. Applications for 2026 will open in the fall of 2025. Stay tuned for more information.

      • Student Eligibility Requirements:
      • Reside or attend school in Alamance County

      All applicants will be notified by e-mail regarding their application status, with those moving forward to the interview process receiving one notification and those not moving forward receiving another. If you do not hear from our office by March 1, 2025, kindly e-mail us at elonacademy@elon.edu, and we will send you a PDF version of your letter. All completed applications are reviewed by Elon Academy staff.

      • PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERVIEW PROCESS IN THE SPRING
      • After applications have been reviewed, selected students will be invited to participate in in-person group interviews. Listed below is the current schedule of interviews for the 2025 admission process.
        • Eastern Alamance High School: February 25, 2025
        • Early College: February 26, 2025
        • Walter Williams High School: February 27, 2025
        • Southeast Alamance High School: March 4, 2025
        • Cummings High School: March 5, 2025
        • Graham High School: March 6, 2025
      • Selection Process Video: Students are encouraged to watch the Information Session Video to learn more about what to expect and to get insider tips to help them prepare.

      All students will be notified of admission decisions by May 1, 2025.
