Apply to Become a Freedom Scholar

Applications and accompanying materials are due Monday, May 15, 2024 by 5:00 pm EST.

Current 11th graders enrolled in the Alamance-Burlington School System (ABSS), who are interested in being considered for entry into the program will use this form.

Before you apply: Will you be available on the following 2024-2025 program dates?

Tuesday, June 11, 2024 – EFS Symposium 9:00 – 4:00 pm
Thursday, June 16, 2024 – New Freedom Scholars Orientation – 9:00 – 5:00 pm
Sunday, June 16, 2024 – Summer Residency Begins (Check In at 5:00 pm)
June 17 – 30, 2024 (Two-week full-time summer residency on the Elon University campus (weekends off during this period)

You must commit to these dates and will be unable to leave campus during the two-week residency or attend this program part-time. Also note that ABSS students enrolled in the Elon Academy are not eligible to apply for this program.
