The Department of Art at Elon University welcomes applications for solo and small group exhibitions in Gallery 406 each year. The gallery director, Michael Fels, seeks work that is in dialogue with contemporary practices and ideas. The exhibitions would ideally then be used to expand upon or frame conversations about contemporary definitions of art with our students and the public. Accepted artists will be asked to interact with the Elon Art students through critiques, conversations, opening reception and a formal gallery talk. Studio workshops could also be considered to align with gallery installations/exhibitions.
All mediums will be considered. Modest honorariums offered for travel, shipping costs, speaking fees, etc. All art is fully insured while on exhibit in the gallery.
