Studio Art Awards
The Art Department is pleased to offer two merit-based scholarships and two needs-based scholarships, available yearly to both current Art majors and minors as well as incoming BFA students. These annual awards are made possible through the generosity of donors and provide modest financial support to student-artists across different class ranks. The scholarship funds are credited toward the student’s tuition and fees for the upcoming academic year.
Please note that students must reapply each year, as Art Department scholarships are awarded annually. The scholarship application forms are available in January and are reviewed in the spring for the upcoming academic year.

Art & Art History Global Studies
The Rhoades Endowment for Global Education was established by retired Elon University faculty member Barbara Rhoades in honor of her father and generations of her family who valued travel as a means to understand and appreciate diverse cultures. Each year, distributions from the endowment support deserving Elon students majoring in Art or Art History who wish to participate in the University’s Global Education Program, including both international study and Study USA experiences.
