Welcome to Elon University’s Biology Club: home of all students interested in incorporating the study of biology with engaging extracurricular events! The purpose of the Biology Club is to bring all students interested in the biological sciences together in an engaging manner.

Together with our experienced and enthusiastic faculty supervisors, Dr. Jen Hamel and Dr. Eric Bauer, our organization strives to provide fun activities and events for both biology majors and non-majors. These events include passionate guest speakers, competitive outdoor events and social gatherings where we always provide snacks. J

The Biology Club is an inclusive group of knowledge-driven peers. However, you do not have to be a Bio major to join! We work closely with other science clubs on campus to provide exposure and opportunities across many fields. We typically hold club meetings on the first and third Thursday of every month. These meetings are an excellent place to network with, and get to know the Biology faculty in a low-stress environment. In addition, the upperclassmen and faculty at meetings are a fantastic resource to aid in scheduling, and planning out your major.

Beyond discussions and academic guidance, the Biology Club hosts many social events such as the McMichael Science Department Trick-or-Treat, McMichael Cup, ice cream socials and Senior Sendoff barbeque.

Whatever your level of interest in biology, be it large or small, we welcome everyone to join us this year! The Biology Club is always growing, and we’re excited to hear new voices and see some new faces. I hope you have a great year, and I’ll see you around McMichael!

Don’t hesitate to reach out,

-Graham Kulig, Biology Club President  ’17-18
