Each Substitute must have 40 hours of direct engagement with a low-income population and meet all five learning goals. Please articulate how the substitute course will address each of the following learning:
• Engage in advocacy directed toward alleviating poverty
• Build interpersonal, interdisciplinary, and cross-cultural communication skills
• Integrate theoretical, experiential, and personal perspectives on poverty and social justice
• Foster respect for the multiple resources that individuals and communities bring to understanding poverty.
• Recognize and affirm mutuality and accountability as foundational to working with and on behalf of those affected by poverty.
