The Elon Finance department represents a variety of backgrounds, both academic and industry. We have professional experience in a number of areas, such as portfolio management, fixed income and banking. Several faculty members lead study abroad programs, such as a Winter Term course to visit firms in the Pacific Rim, advise student organizations and case competition teams, and mentor undergraduate students throughout the senior thesis process. These opportunities to study abroad with students, engage in undergraduate research, mentor student organizations, and engage with students in the classroom are what lead faculty to Elon.
Finance faculty have published papers in the Financial Services Review, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Investing, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Management Science, Review of Financial Studies, and Quarterly Journal of Finance, among other high-quality journals.
The Reed Finance Center, Love School of Business, and Elon University generously support faculty research with data through the WRDS platform, a pre-tenure teaching sabbatical, travel support, and summer research stipends.
