MBA Overview
What is an MBA?
An MBA is an abbreviation for Master of Business Administration. The MBA is a postgraduate degree focused on general business studies and provides a solid foundation in advanced business administration across multiple areas such as marketing, management, finance, accounting and statistics. In addition, students develop soft skills and leadership.
MBA programs typically require some previous work experience, but some programs might allow direct undergraduate to graduate enrollment. There are also a variety of options when choosing your MBA. Some programs are fully online, some are flexible with a combination of in person and online courses, while others might be a low residency or fully in person. At Elon, our flex MBA offers some courses online and our in person requirements are from 6-9 pm weeknights on our beautiful Elon campus. This allows for flexibility for working professionals. Additionally, the Elon MBA can be done on a full-time or part time basis.
