Admissions Requirements
MBA Application Requirements
Elon MBA applications must be completed online and all materials should be sent directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Application fees and deposits are no longer required. Once started, you may save the in-process application and come back to it as needed to complete the full process.
The Elon MBA program enrolls in the fall and spring and we offer flexible options to finance the cost of an MBA at Elon.
All applicants must submit or fulfill the following requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. A minimum GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) is recommended.
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and any graduate studies completed or taken outside of Elon University (please note that Elon transcripts will be requested on your behalf).

- Transcripts can be mailed to:
- A GMAT or GRE score from a test taken within the last five years, unless eligible to request a waiver of this requirement. Elon recommends a minimum 500 on the GMAT or a minimum 297 on the GRE.
- Official GMAT or GRE scores must be sent directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Elon University’s MBA GMAT program code is BFI-84-88 and the GRE program code is 5183.

- At least two years of full-time, professional post-baccalaureate work experience
- Current resume
- Essay questions, which will be prompted within the application.
- Two letters of recommendation
- At least one from a supervisor and the other from a professional or academic source
OR
- Earned Health Care Analytics Certificate from Elon University within the last 10 years
- Current resume demonstrating at least 2 years of professional experience
For international applicants:
- All application requirements listed above
- Course-by-course transcript evaluations from one of the following approved agencies: WES, IEE, or ECE.
- Demonstration of English language proficiency through one of the following methods (minimum):
- Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 79 (internet-based tests) or 213 (computer-based examinations)
- Official International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic exam score of 6.5 (overall band)
- Official Duolingo of English Test score of 110
- Completion of undergraduate degree in English
- Certification that English is the applicant’s native language
May be requested:
- Personal interview. Qualified applicants who have submitted a complete application may be invited to schedule a personal interview, which can be conducted on campus, virtually via Zoom, or by telephone. An invitation to interview shows that your application has reached an advanced stage of consideration but does not guarantee admission.
MBA Admission Standards
A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 and a GMAT score of 500 or GRE score of 297 are recommended. Application review also strongly considers a student’s professional experience (resume) and letters of recommendation.
