The William Garrard Reed Finance Center’s focus is enhancing the student experience at Elon by providing resources for research, professional development, and state of the art technology. The Reed Finance Center’s (RFC) lab houses 12 Bloomberg terminals that provide students with an opportunity to become Bloomberg certified through the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) program. The Bloomberg terminals are also used for projects in classes and provide valuable data for many research projects. You may have a class meet in the RFC, use the terminals for your own research, or complete the certification to enrich your resume and job opportunities. I encourage all students to utilize this amazing resource as it can set you apart from other students applying for similar jobs.

The RFC also provides professional development programing for students such as Wall Street Prep, and blockchain boot camps. There are also many speakers and panels throughout the year that offer you the opportunity to learn more about different career areas in the field of finance. Hedge fund, mutual fund, stock, bond, commodity, and currency data is available through the RFC for student’s pursuing undergraduate research projects. Finally, the center is a resource for student case competitions in finance which provide real world applications of concepts learned in class.
