The School of Communications welcomes its 2027 class of Elon Sports Vision Scholars. These aspiring sports broadcasters partner with Elon Athletics to livestream sporting events at an ESPN-quality level.

Ethan Berman

Ethan Berman grew up in North Potomac, Maryland, where he attended Wootton High School. He has always been passionate about sports, whether announcing boys and girls varsity basketball games for his high school, working at the Atlantic 10 men’s basketball tournament, or launching his own sports blog and podcast. He also worked for the Bethesda Big Train, a summer collegiate baseball team, helping with game day operations. A sports management major, Ethan aspires to work in an organization’s front office. As a member of Elon Sports Vision, he has helped produce broadcasts for Elon Athletics, working with cameras and the replay system for soccer matches.

Jacob Blank

Jacob Blank is from Manalapan, New Jersey, where he attended Manalapan High School, competing and working in sports. He played for his high school’s golf team, assisted with basketball camps, and worked competitive basketball games, handling the scorebook and statistics. He is a sport management major, minoring in business administration. Jacob hopes to work professionally as a sports broadcaster or work in a front office role.

Ilana Boyer

From a young age, Ilana Boyer has been immersed in sports. The St. Louis native grew up at Cardinals and Blues games, cementing her love for sports. Ilana was a competitive gymnast for nine years, along with playing varsity volleyball and lacrosse throughout high school. While taking classes in school, Ilana developed a love and passion for photography, specifically sports photography. She captured photographs for her school yearbook, and had the opportunity to shoot a Blues game alongside the team photographer. Ilana is eager to learn more about the sport industry with Elon Sports Vision and purse her dream of working in sports media.

Nick Capobianco

Nick Capobianco is from Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, where he attended Owen J. Roberts High School. He helped produce weekly news shows for his high school, broadcasting a variety of segments to entertain his classmates. Additionally, Nick shoot video for his high school’s athletic programs, producing highlight reels for social media. Since arriving on campus, Nick has assisted with Elon Sports Vision live broadcasts and worked on different social projects for Elon’s creative video team. Nick is a cinema and television arts major, with a minor in business. Capobianco hopes to pursue a career in the social creative field after graduation.

Nick Chirichillo

Nick Chirichillo is from Clark, New Jersey, where he attended Union Catholic High School. While at Union Catholic, he competed on the track team and participated in the school’s broadcasting program. Because of his love for sports, Nick eagerly joined Elon Sports Vision and plans to get more involved in the future.

Rob Clemow

Rob Clemow is from Suffolk, Virginia, where he attended Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and served as the public announcer for the school’s varsity boys and girls lacrosse teams. Rob has always loved sports, dating back to his first-ever soccer game at four years old. After realizing as a teenager he would not make the NBA, he still wanted to be involved in the sport industry. Once he learned about Elon Sports Vision, he was excited to join. Rob is majoring in sports management with a minor in business. He hopes to one day be a public announcer for a professional or collegiate basketball team.

Jack Gill is from Urbana, Maryland, and graduated from Urbana High School. Jack participated in athletics throughout his high school career, playing football and wrestling. As a member of Elon Sports Vision, he has helped produce Elon football games and plans to become more involved with the program in future semesters. He is majoring in sport management with a minor in business.

Marisa Grossberg

Marisa Grossberg is from Cleveland, Ohio, where she attended Hawken School. Because she was a competitive dancer for 15 years, she did not participate in a lot of other athletic activities. But during her junior and senior years of high school, she joined the varsity girls golf team. She enjoys spending her weekends golfing with her father and brother, who were also avid golfers. Growing up in a family of diehard Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football fans, she developed a similar passion for the gridiron. Marisa is excited for all the opportunities Elon Sports Vision will provide her in the coming semesters.

Justin Helberg

Justin Helberg is originally from Richmond, Virginia, where he won the scholar-athlete of the year award at J.R. Tucker High School. While early in his Elon career, he has produced multiple sports packages for Elon Sports Vision. He is a double major in project management and sport management, and hopes to pursue a career in the sport industry after college.

Marshall Horton

Marshall Horton is from New Bern, North Carolina, where he attended The Epiphany School of Global Studies. He was active at the private school, playing soccer and basketball. The sport management major plans to be heavily involved in Elon Sports Vision and pursue his interests in broadcasting.

Tate Killion

Tate Killion

Tate Killion grew up in Long Lake, Minnesota, where he attended Orono High School. He has always had a passion for sport. This passion led to him creating a sports-centered TikTok that amassed more than 15,000 followers. Killion, who is a sport management major and business administration minor, is interested in sports media, marketing and promotion. He is excited for all the opportunities Elon Sports Vision will provide for him in the upcoming years.

Jack Marcus is from Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he attended Floyd E. Kellam High School and was the technical director of the drama department and Thespian Troupe 2326. As part of the Elon Sports Vision program, he has improved his skills as a storyteller and contributed to “One On One Sports.” He is majoring in sport management and hopes to work professionally as a sports broadcaster.

Logan Miller

Logan Miller is from Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School and developed an interest in sports broadcasting. He played several sports throughout high school, ranging from cross country to baseball. During this time, he developed a passion for the business side of sports and the operations that make the sports world revolve. As a part of the Elon Sports Vision program, he has learned a lot about the operations of 4K cameras and editing videos to perfection. He is majoring in sport management and minoring in business.

Finn Naghsh is from Sun Valley, Idaho, where he attended Wood River High School. He was an active student-athlete playing several sports on the varsity and club levels. As part of Elon Sports Vision, Finn has edited sports packages and ran camera equipment. He enjoys covering baseball, football, softball, basketball and golf. Finn plans to major in sport management and possibly minor in statistics.

Ryan Nedwed is from Bellevue, Washington, where he attended Bellevue Christian School and oversaw the basketball team’s Instagram account. He also played basketball and ran track throughout high school. Ryan hopes to get heavily involved in Elon Sports Vision in the coming semesters.

Henry Paull is from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he attended the Seven Hills School and played soccer and basketball. Henry considers himself an avid professional sports fan, even though the sports that he has followed over time has changed. His interest for sports led him to join Elon Sports Vision and he hopes to work in sports in the future.

Aidan Roche

Aidan Roche grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut, where he attended Fairfield Warde High School. He grew up around sports, playing baseball during the warmer months and swimming when the temperatures dropped. He has been a New York Giants and New York Yankees fan since his youth. As a member of Elon Sports Vision, Aidan has learned to operate a camera and edit sports package. Aidan plans to major in finance and remain a big fan of New York sports.

Abby Waeltz

Abby Waeltz is from Horsham, Pennsylvania, and growing just 30 minutes from Philadelphia sparked a major love for sports. This included not only watching sports, but playing them as well. During her high school career, she was often in front of the camera, playing three different sports. As a member of Elon Sports Vision, she hopes to further develop her skills behind the camera. She is majoring in sport management with a minor in psychology.
