In this course, students learn about appropriate use of different sampling techniques and how to explain the limitations around data collection and generalization. Student use SAS softwae to student clean data sets and visualize data with standard graphs and dashboards in Tableau or Excel. Additionally, this class is focused on numerous analysis methods for different survey designs including tests to perform statistical inference. Students will communicate their results through group projects using real-world data, and through numerous in-class and homework assignments. In the project, students will especially focus on relaying their results to a non-statistical audience and making sure that their results can be clearly understood by a non-statistical audience.
