MHE Preview

What is MHE Preview?

MHE Preview is a virtual visit and apprenticeship interview event that provides applicants with an opportunity to learn more about the MHE program and Elon University. MHE Preview is scheduled in February. Dates for 2025 have not yet been set.

MHE Preview Dates 2024

February 11: Participate in virtual panels and small group conversations with MHE students, faculty, and supervisors. Gain first-hand insight into MHE classes, experiential learning opportunities, graduate student resources, and life at Elon.
February 12 – 14: Interview for apprenticeships and meet one-on-one with an MHE faculty member. Interview times will be available on all three days. Applicants will be able to sign up for virtual interviews that align with their schedules.

When will I know if I have been invited to MHE Preview?

Applications to the Master of Arts in Higher Education program will be evaluated by the MHE Admissions Committee in mid-January. Invitations to participate in the virtual MHE Preview event will be extended to selected applicants during the third week of January.

The invitation to the MHE Preview event will include the program agenda and instructions for how to sign up for apprenticeship interviews.

Applicants who submitted a completed application by the January 10 deadline will receive full consideration for invitations to MHE Preview. Applications completed after the deadline will be considered based on space availability.

What happens after MHE Preview?

Final admissions decisions will be communicated to applicants in late February. Offers of admission will identify the apprenticeship with which the applicant has been matched as well as include information on merit scholarship awards.

Every MHE Preview participant will be given full consideration for a merit scholarship; no separate application form is necessary for scholarship consideration.

Admitted students will be invited to visit the Elon campus for MHE Welcome on March 15, 2024. During this event, admitted individuals will have an opportunity to tour our beautiful campus, meet their prospective classmates, see their apprenticeship office first-hand, and gain insight from current students, faculty, and apprenticeship coworkers. The MHE program will provide housing and meals during the admitted day experience. Admitted students unable to attend MHE Welcome on March 15 are invited to schedule a campus visit for another day in March.
