Admissions Requirements
The M.Ed program enrolls in June. Applicants who submit all required application materials by the deadline of April 15th will receive full consideration for admission. The M.Ed program allows for applications after the final application deadline on a rolling basis, as space allows. Apply Now.
Admission Requirements
The admission review process is designed to select outstanding educators with demonstrated academic achievement and teaching ability. Each application is evaluated holistically considering all previously completed academic work, short answer responses, and one letter of recommendation.
Completed applications must include the following materials:

- Official transcripts of all previous coursework including evidence of an earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (minimum 3.0 GPA recommended).

For Participate Learning, Inc. Teachers:
Elon has an established partnership with Participate Learning, Inc. We understand that Participate Learning, Inc. teachers have met the necessary requirements to work as an educator in the United States which includes proof of English proficiency. Additional requirements for Participate Learning, Inc. teachers include:

- Electronically signed Release Form, which is part of the application, to allow the Office of Graduate Admissions to request copies of official transcripts and the English translations for evaluation from Participate Learning, Inc. on your behalf.
For International Applicants:
- All application requirements listed above.
- Course-by-course transcript evaluations from one of the following approved agencies: WES, IEE, or ECE.
- Demonstration of English language proficiency through one of the following methods (minimum):
- Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 79 (internet-based tests) or 213 (computer-based examinations).
- Official International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic exam score of 6.5 (overall band).
- Official Duolingo of English Test score of 110.
- Completion of undergraduate degree in English.
- Certification that English is the applicant’s native language.
