The purpose of this project is to investigate the effects that lung cancer treatments may have had on certain measures of physical performance such as your balance, strength, and endurance. These physical performance measures may be related to your future risk of experiencing a fall. Currently, there is limited understanding related to future fall risk in lung cancer survivors. This project aims to enhance the database of health information for individuals like you with a history of lung cancer, and to examine how this health information may indicate if you are at higher risk of falling. This project also aims to explore if a guided exercise intervention may improve your physical performance measures related to your future risk of falling. This project will utilize certain assessments in order to track your baseline physical performance measures. Throughout the project, these measures will be reassessed in order to look at the overall effectiveness of the guided intervention on your physical performance. This project will delivered virtually/online, under the guidance of faculty and students in the Department of Physical Therapy Education at Elon University.
