Simulation Coordinator

Bethany Fearnow, CHSE

Mrs. Bethany Fearnow joined the Elon’s School of Health Sciences staff in June 2022. She has worked in the simulation world since 2018. As the Simulation Coordinator, she oversees standardized patients, booking of clients, and other daily operations. She enjoys seeing the students become excited as their didactic studies become real-life situations in simulation. Mrs. Fearnow’s research interests include student self-efficacy in simulation, simulation creation within a curriculum, and standardized patient training.

Simulation Specialist

Angel Hernandez, CMA, CPT

Mrs. Angel Hernandez joined the Elon’s School of Health Sciences staff in March 2024. She brings a wealth of medical assisting knowledge from her previous position, of nine years, at the Elon Student/Faculty/Staff Clinic. As the Simulation Specialist, she works alongside the Simulation Coordinator ensuring best practices within all simulation activities and is advancing her knowledge in simulation technology. She enjoys the safe-learning environment that simulation provides for the students knowing that they will take their experience and translate it to clinical knowledge.
