Simulation Modalities, Equipment, & Spaces
The Interprofessional Simulation Center is comprised of five simulation modalities including Client-to-Class, Medical Mannequins, Standardized Patients, Task Trainers, and Mixed Reality (XR). Modalities are selected based upon their ability to meet the level of fidelity required by learning objectives. The IPSC contains a variety of simulation equipment that enhance the learners experience allowing for repetitive training that increases psychomotor skills in a safe learning environment. Each space provides opportunity to immerse learners in a realistic clinical environment. The Simulation team upholds standards of best practice ensuring all learner activities that utilize the various modalities and equipment allow for learners to progress from novice to clinical-readiness.
