Interested in exploring how to use data in your field of study? Living with Data Living Learning community is connected with Elon’s Data Nexus and explores how data shapes our world. First year students in this LLC will be placed in a cohorted STS 2120 and should have a strong mathematics background that would give them placement in STS 2120.

Living with Data LLC is open to all students and a great home for incoming Data Analytics Scholars.

Students meet with the faculty advisors every other week throughout the year.

o In the Living with Data LLC, students will:

·      Be exposed to a variety of data disciplines.

·      Build an academic community around learning about data.

·      Learn about data in industry.

·      Learn how to engage with data using a variety of technologies.

Students in the Living with Data LLC will have the opportunity to participate as mentors for future classes (and live with them as sophomores). Participation in this regard will be a way of establishing assessment related to community.

Student participation data in events related to industry visits, data challenges, and other data camps will be collected.
