Research/Creative Interests
My research interests examine psychological (e.g. motivation, cognition, behavior) and sociological (e.g. social dynamics, relationships, and culture) phenomena in organizations. I especially like examining these topics in entrepreneurial, family business, and small business settings but am open to other organizational settings as well.
Research/Creative Needs
I do a lot of qualitative and literature review research. I am also interested in conducting experiments. I have a lot of projects for students who just want to learn how to do research but don’t yet have a strong interest of their own. However, I am also open to students bringing their own ideas or interests to a new project, provided that we are a good fit and can find a novel contribution to offer the field.
Currently looking for a student to apply and work in these programs
- Any program/opportunity
I can mentor a student enrolled in 4998/4999 hours during these semesters
- Any start time
Little Bit More Info
For students who just want to do research for degree credit, I have several projects at different stages. For students who are interested in obtaining a PhD in Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, or a related field, I’ve helped past students get into great PhD programs that pay them to attend and that have great academic career placements
Student Qualifications
- The student should be detail-oriented, driven, a good listener, and a self-starter. I am also interested in mentoring students who want to obtain a PhD in business-oriented fields (e.g. Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Industrial Psychology) or who just want to learn how to conduct research.
