Transportation services available to Elon students

Elon University provides many resources for making your way around campus, the Town of Elon and now into the Burlington community. Here you will be able to find various transportation needs such as Buses & Shuttles, Parking & Permits, After Hours Transportation, Rentals & Reservations, Commuting & Carpooling, and Maps.

Buses & Shuttles

• Elon Express
• Burlington Link Transit Bus System services Burlington, Gibsonville, Alamance Community College, Alamance County Offices and the Town of Elon.
• Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (P.A.R.T) services services Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Chapel Hill, Durham and a number of other towns in the Piedmont Triad region.
• Airport Shuttles
• Medical Transport

Parking & Permits

Students who wish to have a car on campus must register their vehicle and get a parking permit. More information about this can be found on the Elon Transportation website.

Rentals and Reservations

Elon students are eligible to participate in the ZipCar program, a car sharing program, as well as rent bikes on campus for periods of time. Learn more about these options.

Additionally, students can rent cars from local car rentals or order an Uber or Lyft.

Amtrak Train

The Burlington Amtrak station is not far from campus and is a gateway to local North Carolina cities, Washington D.C., New York and more.
