Can I get a waiver for English requirement?

Waivers for English requirements are provided if your undergraduate degree was in English or if the applicant’s first language is English.

I graduated with a three year bachelor degree. Will this be accepted?

Yes. If you have at least one year of full time post-baccalaureate experience. We will still require an official, Course-By-Course transcript evaluation, and will invite applicants with 3 year equivalencies to share more about how their professional experiences in addition to their education have prepared you for graduate level education in the US.

My transcripts are not in English. What should I do?

We require course-by-course transcript evaluations for all transcripts which are earned outside of the US to ensure the educational system equivalency of your previous degree meets our eligibility criteria. Transcripts which are not in English must also be translated into English. Transcript evaluations and translations may be performed by any active NACES member.

How long will it take to get my visa?

I-20 documents will be issued by Elon University for all students who are admitted and indicate they intend to matriculate into a program which supports a student visa. Individual countries may have various waiting times for visa appointments, so the sooner you are able to complete your file and respond to an offer of admission, the sooner we are able to begin the student visa process. To be best prepared for the visa appointment, you will need to work quickly to schedule your consulate appointment, and understand the amount of funds required to support a student visa for your program, and outline the sources of these funds in your CFR document.

What is the amount of funds which I need to be certified for the issuance of the I-20?
