Elon students enjoy getting involved and participating in activities on and off campus. Whether you want to start your own intramural team, kayak down the Haw River, participate in a campus tradition, stay fit or run for student government, you can do it at Elon. Get involved

A few days after classes start in the fall, first-year students get a firsthand look at all there is to do on campus at the Org Fair on Young Commons. Elon has 250+ student clubs and organizations and representatives from many of them host tables at the Org Fair to provide information to students who might be interested in getting involved.

Recreation, Fitness & Wellnes

Stay fit

Campus Recreation & Wellness has multiple facilities in the heart of campus at Koury Center, including the Stewart Fitness Center, Jordan Gym, racquetball/squash courts, group exercise studios, Needham Pilates Studio and Beck Pool. There is a gymnasium for volleyball and basketball at the PARC (Phoenix Activities & Recreation Center) in Danieley Neighborhood. On South Campus, there is South Gym and the driving range, which is open to all Phoenix There is a putting and chipping green, and an outdoor fitness area across from East Neighborhood. There are also multiple health education and wellness programs at Elon, including the HealthEU initiative.

Explore the area

Located in central North Carolina, Elon is just minutes from the interstate with easy access to the mountains (2.5 hours away) and the beach (3 hours away). Closer to Elon, there’s a host of parks, trails, rivers and lakes to keep outdoor enthusiasts busy. If camping or climbing isn’t your jam, there are malls, museums, gardens, etc. nearby and within 30 miles.

Events & Traditions

College is meant to be fun

Participate in one of Elon’s beloved traditions. Attend a performance by some of the nation’s future rising stars. Elon is recognized by Playbill as one of the most represented colleges on Broadway. Take in a cultural event. Connect with the Student Union Board. SUB hosts a variety of activities from movies to trivia, painting classes, bingo, casino nights, etc.
