A strong residential experience connects students to Elon’s academic and student life programs and contributes to a more intellectual campus climate.
Colonnades Neighborhood
- Businessgives students the opportunity to live with like-minded business students and build strong relationships that will last throughout their life professionally and personally. Business Fellows are welcome to apply to live in this LLC or any LLC that might interest them.
- EcoVillage LLC (Loy Farm) is home to sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a passion for sustainable practices and experiential learning. Residents live in uniquely designed two-person houses at the Loy Farm and contribute to the wellbeing and care of the farm and LLC grounds.
- First Phoenixwelcomes students who identify as first-generation (a student whose parent/guardians have not obtained a bachelor’s degree). First Phoenix LLC creates an environment where students can successfully acclimate and navigate their college experience through intentional connections with peers, faculty, and staff.
- Gender and Sexualityis a community that is open to any student wishing to explore topics around gender identity and sexual orientation as continuums. This LLC is open to all students and is separate to Elon’s gender inclusive housing options, which are also open to all residents.
- Honors Program*is limited to any student accepted to the Honors Program. The Honors Floor LLC includes first-year students as well as sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the Honors Program. Honors students are welcome to apply to this or any LLC.
- Innovationis for students who want to solve the world’s problems, explore ideas, or get the inside scoop on start-up culture and is open to all students who are passionate about acting on their ideas. This LLC is open to all, however required for all first-year Innovation Scholars.
- Living with Data LLCis for students interested in data in their daily lives and beyond. The goal of this LLC is to provide a community around these interests and to give different perspectives about how data is used in both an academic and industry setting. Priority may be given to Data Analytics Scholars.
- STEMis home to students of all majors interested in astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, mathematics or physics.
- Sustainable Livingbrings together students from any major who are interested in learning about living in a manner that supports ecologically, socially, and economically healthy environments and communities.
East Neighborhood
- Change Makers Scholars works to develop awareness and understanding of community connections and seeks opportunities to create and promote civic practices that lead to constructive community participation. Change Maker Scholars are strongly encouraged to apply to this LLC.
- Paideia: Politics and Active Citizenshipfocuses on politics and active citizenship as the two foundations of this first-year LLC designed to promote leadership and explore opportunities for engagement at Elon and beyond.
- Service LLCis for incoming first-year students interested in integrating into campus life through a community service lens.
Global Neighborhood
- African Diaspora: Exploring Blackness Across the Globeprovides students with opportunities to explore African, African American, and Black diasporic cultures at Elon and worldwide. This LLC is open to all students and required for first year Renaissance Scholars.
- Alcohol and Substance-free Housing for Elon Students LLC (ASHES)is home to students who choose to abstain from substance use for personal, religious, or health reasons and connects students with similar interests.
- Creative Artsis open to all students interested in creative arts and generates an atmosphere for students to express and explore creativity and artistic interests or skills.
- Health Sciences LLCcreates an environment where students can successfully acclimate and navigate the rigors associated with the health sciences curriculum by interacting with upper class students and faculty. Students will have the opportunity to develop meaningful friendships, support systems, study groups, and mentorship with other health science students and faculty through involvement in the LLC. Priority may be given to students in health science related majors or Nursing Fellows.
- I-House at Trollinger LLC (international)is designed to foster meaningful intercultural engagement among sophomores, juniors, and seniors and blends together international and exchange students and domestic students, promoting a global perspective within a collaborative living environment at Trollinger House. Priority may be given to exchange students or domestic students who have studied abroad.
- Internationalpresents a residential experience where students with international experience, backgrounds, and interests come together to form a residential community intentionally focused on facilitating interactions between students with diverse life experiences and worldviews and fosters awareness and appreciation for cultural difference.
- Mi Casa LLCoffers a unique immersive opportunity to explore the rich culture, traditions, and lived experiences that form the foundation of Latinx/Hispanic identity. All students are welcome to participate in the LLC.
- Performing Artsgenerates a community atmosphere where students can express and explore their artistic interest or skills including dance, voice, art, acting, or getting involved in the arts. Priority may be given to performing arts majors.
- Polyglotis a community for students who are eager to explore languages other than English, to speak them as much as possible, and to share their passion for multicultural and multilingual experiences with other students and faculty mentors.
Historic Neighborhood
- Communicationsconnects first-year students who are considering a career in communications. Priority may be given to communication majors or Communication Fellows.
- Outdoor Learningwelcomes first-year students who share a common interest in outdoor education and adventure-based activities. Students in the OLC are passionate about the natural world, interested in learning more about ways to engage in outdoor pursuits, and curious to grow their skills.
- Sport Management and Mediaoffers a unique environment for first-year students interested in exploring the study of sport and the industry of sports management and sports media. The SMM LLC coordinates with the Communications LLC to offer some joint experiences for both communities.
Isabella Cannon Pavilion
- Elon College Fellows*is limited to any first-year student accepted as an Elon College Fellow. Elon College Fellows are welcome to apply to this or any LLC.
Kenan Honors Pavilion
- Honors Program*is limited to any first-year student accepted to the Honors Program. Honors Fellows are welcome to apply to this or any LLC.
