About the Effort

The Women of Elon are passionate leaders and philanthropists who are committed to creating opportunities for generations of Elon students. This intergenerational network of Elon alumnae, parents, and friends, is ready to address the most pressing needs of the university. Elon University is committed to creating space for this diverse, dynamic community of women to come together and make impactful change.

The Women of Elon initiative was born through a series of focus group conversations with Elon alumnae, parents, and friends. In those conversations, women shared that they want:

  • More opportunities to engage with the university
  • More volunteer opportunities and clear pathways to leadership
  • Donors at all levels to feel valued and appreciated
  • Flexibility in how women come together to support Elon students.

Our Vision

The Women of Elon will inspire action and will impact the greater Elon community by increasing the number of women contributing to the success of students through individual and collective support.

Dream Statement

We are a diverse network of alumnae, parents, and friends dedicated to providing transformational support for Elon students. Together, we will grow an inclusive culture of philanthropy and expand our impact on campus and beyond. Through our collective talents and resources, we will raise $2.5 million by 2026 to support internship experiences for Elon students who need it the most.
