EBAN ScholarshipThe Black Alumni Scholarship, named in honor of the Elon Black Alumni Network (EBAN), was established in 2007. EBAN is the university’s oldest affinity alumni network. Thanks to gifts from alumni, parents and friends of the university, this endowed scholarship has grown in value to more than $1 million. It was awarded for the first time in 2011 to Janelle Bennett, a member of the class of 2014, and last year supported two deserving students with $20,000 scholarships. The scholarship is awarded annually as a one-year scholarship to high-achieving upper-class students with demonstrated financial need.
