Requirements:

The 2025 application process is CLOSED to submissions. 

Applicants must be rising sophomore, junior or senior students and demonstrate financial need. Students who wish to apply must be in good academic and judicial standing. The scholarship recipient must be willing to serve as an ambassador for the Elon Black Alumni Network. Responsibilities of the scholarship recipient may include assisting EBAN with on-campus events, speaking at various engagements, and maintaining communication with EBAN leadership.

Black Alumni Scholarship applicants must complete the applicant background information section and answer the three short-answer questions. Application and supplemental material will be accepted beginning Thursday, January 30, 2025, through Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. The recipient of the scholarship will be announced at the upcoming Black Excellence Award Ceremony on Saturday, April 12.

The selection timeline is as follows:

  • Open for submissions beginning January 30, 2025
  • Application Deadline March 6, 2025
  • Scholarship Interviews take place March 24 – 28, 2025
  • Finalist Interviews on April 3, 2025
  • Scholarship winner announced at Black Excellence Awards Ceremony on April 12, 2025
