The leadership team works together to uphold the mission and purpose of the LGBTQIA Alumni Network, including engaging LGBTQIA Alumni. The team meets quarterly to facilitate the leadership and direction of the network and hold their positions for one year.

Vacant Network Leadership Roles and Committees

Secretary

Manage the records of the network, including the documentation of responsibilities and successes. This role also assists the President with scheduling and other logistics items, and provides on-boarding for new leadership team members.

Communications

Develop timely, relevant and meaningful multimedia content to be shared with current and future LGBTQIA alumni. In addition, the committee helps market the LGBTQIA Alumni Network (including at university and community events), assists with maintenance of the main website, curates content for quarterly newsletter, and manages the network’s social media platforms.

Events & Programming

Create a safe and fun environment for LGBTQIA students, alumni, faculty, staff and their families at key events, including activities organized at Elon’s annual Homecoming. Throughout the year, this committee also hosts or co-hosts special events including social, service and educational events for the community and their families.

Philanthropy & Stewardship

Coordinate and implement the LGBTQIA Alumni Network Leadership Team’s fundraising and stewardship goals in partnership with the President, Office of Alumni Engagement, and Gender & LGBTQIA Center. The committee will help develop messages and campaigns that encourage giving, develop an annual plan for a long-term fundraising goal, and follow-up with donors on a regular basis.
