Black Student Union
Who We Are
The Black Student Union (BSU) supports and advocates on behalf of the Black undergraduate students of Elon University. We aim to enrich student life at the university culturally, intellectually, and socially; to ensure full ongoing administrative commitment of fair, equitable policies; and to strengthen and support the bonds of community between Black Elon students and the larger Elon and Burlington communities. We shall achieve our goals through the Elon University Black Student Union.
Elon’s Black Student Union, formerly the Black Cultural Society, is the central governing body and root organization for black students on campus. We promote awareness of black culture and cross-cultural understanding at Elon and beyond. We are committed to unifying marginalized populations on campus, educating the campus community, and celebrating blackness. Our goal is to help make Elon a place where everyone truly does belong. Above all, we are a support system. The Black Student Union exists to lift up and aid the success of every black student at Elon. We are here for you.
