Stories of Alamance County 2024: Spaces of Spiritual Diversity

Elon Community Church, 5 p.m.

We invite the Elon and surrounding community to join the Power and Place Collaborative at “Stories of Alamance County 2024: Spaces of Spiritual Diversity,” a screening and community dialogue of Alamance County stories from diverse faith communities.

Since 2018, we have been collecting oral histories and sharing diverse digital stories from across the community. The Power + Place Collaborative is a partnership between the African American Cultural Arts & History Museum, the Burlington Masjid, CityGate Dream Center, Alamance Public Libraries and Elon University. The purpose of this project is to record, preserve and celebrate stories that represent the diverse histories and communities in our county with the aim of building bridges of understanding across our differences. For 2024, the theme of this project is “Spaces of Spiritual Diversity.” We are interested in collecting and sharing stories representing the diversity of spiritual practices, faith traditions, religious communities and more leaders that we have in Alamance County. We would love to hear your story and help share it with others!

If you are able to attend, please register here. Supported through funds from the North Carolina Humanities, Impact Alamance and Elon University’s Center for Design Thinking
