Brief Biography

Dr. Katie Baker joined the department in 2017.  She is excited to bring her love for teaching and enthusiam for high-quality elementary mathematics instruction to Elon.  Her research focuses on mathematics education and how we can support prospective and practicing teachers in the work of engaging with student thinking. She recieved her B.A. from the Unviersity of Michigan in Elementary Education, and her M.Ed. and Ed.D. from the University of North Carolina in Mathematics Education/Curriculum and Instruction.
