Brief Biography
Mr. Robert "Kc." Kasserman, CPIM-F, CSCP-F, CLTD-F, SCOR-P, CS&OP, CAPM, ... is a Professor in Supply Chain Management for the Marketing Department as well as Project Management for the Management Department at the Love School of Business at Elon University.
Mr. Kasserman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration double majoring in Production/Operations Management and Computer Information Systems from Appalachian State University. He also earned a Master's in Business Administration focusing on Strategic Management from Wake Forest University. Mr. Kasserman has taught for various professional societies: APICS, MSSC, and ASQ. Instructional background also includes Johnston Community College, Alamance Community College, Guilford Technical Community College, Forsyth Technical Community College, Rockingham Community College, Davidson Community College as well as the University of North Carolina - Greensboro Bryan School of Business and Economics. His teaching interests include Supply Chain Management, Production Planning and Control, Global Operations Strategy, Materials Planning, Manufacturing Operations Management, Logistics and Distribution, and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.
Mr. Kasserman has over 25 years of direct production and supply chain management experience with organizations such as the US Navy, Burlington Industries, Rexam Release, PLLC, Ingersoll-Rand Companies, RF Micro Devices (now Qorvo), and HexaTech, Inc. Professional roles include materials manager, prototype operations manager, purchasing manager, and VP of Operations. Currently, Kc. is the Directing Principal for Execution Management Partners.
Mr. Kasserman is also a current member and officer with the Piedmont NC chapter of ASCM (The Association for Operations Management - formerly APICS). He currently holds multiple professional certifications within the Supply Chain/Operations arena. He has taught supply chain certification courses for ASCM chapters and companies (including Caterpillar, Herbalife, GKN, Novartis, RFMD, Syngenta, Merck-USA, Novartis, and Engineering Controls International to list a few). Additionally, he is the lead instructor for a joint pilot program from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, in partnership with Alamance Community College, known as the Supply Chain Engineering and Logistics certification. As well as a Master Instructor ASCM, the Supply Chain Institute, and VCARE Academy.
