Nancy Carpenter

Nancy assists students with their efforts to explore, secure, and register internships.  Nancy serves as liaison and advisor for the three parties involved in a for-credit internship- the student, the faculty mentor, and the site supervisor.  Nancy serves as mentor for students completing the internship Experiential Learning Requirement (ELR) and/or cooperative education experience.  Nancy also facilitates the Campus Alamance program and administers internship grants.   Nancy’s previous experience at Elon focused on coordinating on-campus student employment and the federal work-study program. Prior to Elon, Nancy worked in the area of human resources in Alabama and North Carolina, and as a music educator in Frankfurt, Germany.

When not at Elon you will find Nancy spending time with her family and friends.  Nancy loves book studies with her small group, singing with a worship team, and ‘family-music’ night when the adult ‘kids’ are in town.
