Brief Biography
I have been a nurse for more than 25 years. In that time, I have cared for a myriad of patients. My favorites are all aspects of women's health, pediatrics, and teaching future nurses. I have been a nurse educator since 2017 and love being here at Elon Univeristy! I joined the Elon Nursing faculty in the fall of 2022.
I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida. I moved to North Carolina when I attended Lenoir-Rhyne College back in the early 90's. After a decade back in Florida, I reconnected with a college friend, got married, and moved back to North Carolina. My husband, Mark, and I have been married since 2010. Mark is a classically trained opera singer and has sung the National Anthem at many Elon home basketball games.
I have three children: Josh, Paige, and Lexie. Lexie is a current student here at Elon. I also have 3 fur babies: a black lab named Maui, a chocolate lab named Magnus, and a yellow lab named Maya.
