Consulting Services

We work with businesses, governments, educational institutions, nonprofits, and other organizations to build capacity in design thinking methods and mindsets. If you have a team, project, or workflow problem you would like to address, we offer a variety of services that can be tailored to fit your specific needs. We use design thinking tools, practices, and processes to help you assess and achieve your goals. See a breakdown of our proposed structures below.

• Customized Workshops: Tailored workshop experiences ranging from an hour to multiple days to support your team and your project. Come visit us in our Center for Design Thinking space, virtually, or we will come to you!
• Pathway to Design Thinking: Get design thinking facilitation leadership experience through credit and a badge.
• Assessment: We have experience with a wide range of assessment processes to determine the best course of action for improving your current practices.

Consulting Types (Scale Your Engagement)

We can engage with your organization for short or extended periods of time, depending on the needs of your organization and the goals of the engagement. If you are unsure what level of engagement is right for you, we can set up a consultation to discuss what best fits your needs.

• Single Engagements: We are happy to work with you for singular workshops ranging from 1 hour to 5 hours. These are best for skill building, professional development, and facilitated problem solving.
• Project Facilitation: This is a sustained engagement where we can help you tackle a particular problem and provide project facilitation through cultivating a solution that works for you and your clients.
• Organization Revamp: Through a more indepth engagement approach, we can work alongside your organization as you tackle heavy, systeming problems and/ or imaging and implement new programing options. This level of engagement typically lasts more than a few months and is very hands on. Depending on the needs of your organization, we can collaborate with external partners and facilitate research in conjunction.
• Conference: Elon by Design holds a yearly Forage that addresses a topic of interest to higher education, strengthens collaboration in the design thinking community, and searches for new opportunities for design thinking to enhance student learning. Learn more about the upcoming conference here.

• In Your Space: We will meet you where you are!
• Outdoor/On Campus: Get outside and engage in design thinking community-building activities.
• Live Webinar: We virtually facilitate a number of workshops with small groups and classes via WebEx and Zoom!
• Pre-Recorded: We have a number of pre-recorded workshops, toolkits, and class activities to meet your needs.

Pricing

Our prices vary depending on the complexity of a workshop or accelerator and the time required to prepare and deliver the sessions. Prices are also based on the length and format of the engagement. Email dlake@elon.edu to request a consultation and discuss pricing.
