Cost of Membership
When students accept an offer to join a fraternity/sorority, they also agree to pay all associated dues and fees. While dues can vary greatly across chapters, the following are estimated costs for fraternity/sorority membership:
One-Time New Member Fees
(these are estimates – actual charges are determined by chapter)
- IFC chapters = $150 to $400
- MGC and NPHC chapters = $800 to $1800
- PA chapters = $250 to $800
Annual Dues
(these are estimates – actual charges are determined by chapter)
- IFC chapters = $500 to $1000
- MGC and NPHC chapters = $100 to $200
- PA chapters = $750 to $1000
Fees Assessed by Elon University
- $60 New Member Fee (One time fee assessed the semester AFTER a student joins)
- $95 per member per semester for those chapters housed in half houses.
- $145 per member per semester for those chapters housed in full houses.
