The Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies program offers engaging courses that analyze women’s lives, men’s lives, gender, inequality, and sexuality from a variety of different disciplines, enabling students to integrate their learning and put their knowledge into action. 80+ Courses Across 17 Departments
Over 80+ courses at Elon contain a focus on queer theory, gender, gender identity, feminism, sexual orientation, and related topics.
Minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies
Across the 80+ courses throughout 17 departments, only five courses are needed to earn the Women’s & Gender Studies Minor. Two of these five courses are required (WGS 110: Sex & Gender; WGS 300: Current Controversies in Feminism) while the other three may be selected from the list of WGS electives below.
