The prediction, in brief:

My fear is that it becomes entirely privatized.

Predictor: Wetherell, David

Prediction, in context:

In a 1994 article for Computer Reseller News, Charlotte Dunlap talks with David Wetherell of Booklink Technologies about the shift of the Internet from government control to a more commercial structure. She writes: ”The question remains how the new [Internet] structure will affect business activities. ‘My fear is that it becomes entirely privatized,’ said David Wetherell, president of navigational tools manufacturer Booklink Technologies Inc., Wilmington, Mass. ‘The great thing about the Internet today is that no one owns it. If you have a good product or service, you can put it up on the network and let the public decide if it’s good.'”
