Elon University
The prediction, in brief:

There’s a fundamental shift going on in society right now … the digital revolution is whipping through our lives like a Bengali typhoon [as Louis Rossetto said in Wired’s opening editorial]. It’s not going to go away. We’re profoundly optimistic about how we can use technology to change things. I just don’t think it’s a fad.

Predictor: Metcalfe, Jane

How do you respond? ”Answer: ‘Over 50 percent of households with teenagers have PC’s. The Internet will continue to grow. The fact remains there’s a fundamental shift going on in society right now … the digital revolution is whipping through our lives like a Bengali typhoon [as Louis Rossetto said in Wired’s opening editorial]. It’s not going to go away. We’re profoundly optimistic about how we can use technology to change things. I just don’t think it’s a fad.'”
